Get paid for continuing education while you work

What is the Qualification Opportunities Act?

The Qualification Opportunities Act gives employees more chances to continue their training and grow in their careers. The Federal Employment Agency supports this by expanding the variety of training programs available and providing more financial resources to both employees and employers for continued education.

This act helps employees secure or improve their career paths, especially as the demands of the digital world and a constantly changing job market grow. So, how can companies keep up with these changes and help employees succeed without causing frustration?

Qualification Opportunities Act

The solution is simple: enroll in one of AI Academy's flexible training courses that you can complete while still working.

What many companies don’t realize is that these training programs can be fully funded, allowing businesses to develop in-house experts without extra costs.

Why Should You Pursue Further Education While Working?

There are many situations where continuing your education while on the job becomes important. As you take on new responsibilities, you often grow, but it’s easy to hit your limits.

In many companies, employees are given roles like social media or content marketing because they show interest, but often without proper knowledge or training. While enthusiasm is great, it’s not enough to build a successful strategy. This is where further education makes all the difference, providing the practical skills needed to excel in these new roles.

What Financing Options Do
Companies Have?

Traditional Approach: Internal Training Budgets

In the past, companies relied on their own training budgets. High-quality training can be expensive, which limits how many employees can benefit. Still, well-trained staff are essential to driving a company's success.

Up to 100% Cost Coverage with Public Funding

With our certified training, companies can benefit from public funding that covers up to 100% of employee training costs. This allows businesses to stay competitive without bearing the full financial burden.

Generous Wage Subsidies

In addition to covering training costs, companies can also reduce wage expenses. Businesses with up to 50 employees can receive up to 75% wage reimbursement, while those with up to 500 employees can get up to 50% covered.

What Kind of Support Can You Expect?

The amount of funding your company can receive depends on a few key factors. Check out the overview below to see how much support you could qualify for and what you can expect.

Criteria for Funding Under the Qualification Opportunities Act

Further training becomes essential when an employee lacks the necessary qualifications to perform a task effectively. To help employees gain the skills they need, such as in digital marketing, we recommend part-time training that can be funded by the employment agency. However, certain criteria must be met for eligibility:

Certified Educational Provider

The training must be provided by a certified educational institution approved under the Qualification Opportunities Act.

Content Relevance

The training should not be legally required but must go beyond basic job-related adjustments. It should enhance the employee’s marketability and have broad applicability.

Last Qualification

The last professional qualification must have been completed at least two years ago to ensure the training is relevant and necessary under the Qualification Opportunities Act.

Use of Funding

To prevent misuse, the last approved training under the Qualification Opportunities Act must have taken place at least two years ago.

Minimum Duration

The training must be at least 160 hours in length.
